In accordance with the 5-years contract, the first pumping of tracers into three injection wells on the Marmul oilfield was implemented. Currently, the sampling process is going on and it will last for one year.

— Marmul is an oilfield discovered in 1956 featured by heavy crude oil with 90cP viscosity, which is difficult to recover applying conventional methods. Polymer flooding is widely used for oil recovery on this oilfield. It constitutes an additional challenge for running tracer tests because the task of detecting the tracers in the recovered samples gets more complicated due to the significant volume of polymers in them.
