During the QUICK-STONE ™ hardening, an exothermic reaction occurs (a large amount of heat is released). This may be a consequence of the increased temperature in the formation, which accelerates the time required to develop the strength of the composition. Other factors (such as hydrostatic pressure) do not affect the strength development time. QUICK-STONE ™ shows a line profile of the viscosity change up to the setting point of the composition where the profile starts to show a viscosity change exponentially. This means that QUICK-STONE ™ within a few minutes passes from liquid to solid state, that blocks the flow of gas, water or oil in the channels. If necessary, the compressive strength of the QUICK-STONE ™ composition can be brought to 10,000 psi (69MPa). In addition to the above, despite the high strength, the QUICK-STONE ™ composition is easily drilled out.
Damage of the producing formation during drilling and repair works can lead to a significant loss of hydrocarbons or to the need for costly remedial works, such as fracturing, acid treatment of the formation. There are many documented facts of the formation damage caused by cement, drilling mud, etc. In other words, any drilling fluid damages the formation to one extent or another. If the velocity of the filtrate precipitation is equal to the velocity of erosion in the dynamic state, then the invasion of the fluids into the formation occurs. QUICK-STONE™ use allows to solve this problem. After setting, the composition forms an impermeable layer, which does not allow the formation of filtrate mud sludge. In the productive zone or in the wellbore, QUICK-STONE ™ remains in the liquid state, but outside the wellbore, the product immediately passes into a solid state. Accordingly, perforation or, if necessary, full acid treatment (15% HCl) can be carried out. When selecting the QUICK-STONE ™ composition, you can set the required setting time and compressive strength by adding inhibitors.
It is used in the drilling process to solve the problem of a producing layer damage: for combatting catastrophic circulation losses, isolation of water and gas kick zones, temporary killing of wells, elimination of casing leakage, installation of bridges for sidetracking, as an alternative to installing a packer, lightweight cement, for consolidation of weakly cemented rocks.

An elastic gel, which is obtained after the cross-linking, has a good adhesion to metal and rock.
The way of proceeding is based on the ability of the composition to gelation in a predetermined time after mixing.

The temperature range of application of Osno Plug ™ technology is from 10 to 80 ° C, Osno Plug S ™ is from 10 to 60 ° C.

The process of composition preparation requires a standard cementing technique - an averaging tank with an agitator and a cementing unit CA-320 for pumping.
After the composition preparation and carrying out all the necessary preparatory work, a gel agent is introduced and injection into the loss zone of the well is carried out. During the injection of the composition in a controlled time (by the time of exit from the drill pipes into the absorption zone), gelation of the composition having a low adhesion to the metal in the given gel form occurs. The gel form prevents the composition from going deeply into the loss formation, washing by formation waters. The gel under pressure is squeezed into the loss formation, where solidification is happening for several hours. The solidification process allows to securely fix the pack in the loss zone and prevents washing it out.
The gelation time is regulated by the input of the stapler, the time of full solidification is 3-6 hours from the moment of gelation, depending on the formation temperature.
It is used in the drilling process to solve the medium and severe circulation losses. Optimum temperature range of formation temperatures for application is 20-50 ° С.
This composition is the upgrade of the CAVE-BLOCK ™ system. Organo-mineral composition with varying density in the range of 1.30-1.60 g/cm³, with the further solidification of the composition.
The main factor of combatting the severe loss: formation of a dense screen (pseudorocks) in the absorption zone due to high filtrate efficiency of the composition at minimal pressure differences. But, unlike the previous system, the resulting filter screen is capable of curing when pumping a special salt composition. Curing allows for additional hardening of the non-conducive screen in the formation, preventing its possible erosion in a number of cases.

It is possible to proceed to drilling out the composition after 3-5 hours (depending on the reservoir temperature) from the moment of completion of the injection of the composition.
