Among the various types of field surveys there is the tracer method for studying oil reservoirs which is one of the most informative ways from the point of view of controlling the flooding process. The method is based on the addition of labeled substances to the liquid injected into the formation and on monitoring the time and place of output of the labeled substance along with the extracted products. In the course of the works, real filtration flows are identified, due to both the features of the geological structure of the reservoir and the regime of field development.
"Mirrico" Group performs a full cycle of tracer research of reservoirs - determination of the number and type of tracers necessary for specific reservoir conditions, estimation of the observations period and frequency, injection of tracer solutions into the reservoir and sampling of extracted products, laboratory evaluation of the quantitative content of tracers in selected samples, interpretation of the results obtained.
Produced water samples analysis for the content of tracers in it is carried out on the basis of proprietary chemical and analytical laboratory located in Samara. Mathematical and graphical processing of the laboratory analysis results is carried out on the basis of proprietary software, which is based on the modeling of straining action of tracing fluid in the investigated formation.
As a result of such researches, the customer receives a graphical and digital image describing the distribution of the filtration flows into the reservoir and all the necessary recommendations for optimization the existing flooding system.
The tracer method determines:
"Classic" tracer research of the hydrodynamic relation between the deep disposal and production wells. We carry out a full range of works, including tracer selection and injection, sampling, laboratory analysis and geological interpretation of the results. Water-and gas-soluble tracers of various natures are used in the work.
Multistage fracturing tracer research - a research method to assess the formation's porosity and permeability properties and to determine the effectiveness of the multistage fracturing. It is performed via injection of labeled liquid into the well bore zone and measuring the change in the concentration or location of the tracer.
At any stage of prospecting, exploration and reserves development this method allows to:
Advantages of "Mirrico" Group service:
For this survey, a special "dissociate" tracer, selected for the conditions of a particular facility, is pumped into the bottom hole zone of the producing well. After starting production on the well, the selected samples are analyzed, according to the analysis of the velocity and volume of the output's components of the dissociate tracer the conclusion about the residual oil saturation in the formation is made.
