Katol 22A is a multi-component modifying additive added to inhibited hydrogen chloride used during bottom hole treatment of productive and injection wells to restore or increase the permeability of the reservoir.
Katol 22A provides a more uniform acidizing of the reservoir, as it allows the acid to penetrate deeper into the oil-saturated portion of the reservoir without losing its reactivity.
Katol 22A is added to 12-24 % inhibited hydrogen chloride in the amount of 3-11% wt. The mixture is injected into the well by standard equipment.
Transportation and storage
Katol 22A can be transported by railway and motor transport in covered vehicles, in accordance with the rules of goods transportation.
Shelf life of Katol 22A in its sealed original packing is at least 12 months.
Katol 22A consists of an acid reaction inhibitor, a demulsifier, a corrosion inhibitor, and a scale inhibitor in a mixture of solvents.
